Beaver Fever won it all last season and were nationally ranked #2 in the small league division of the NWLA when all was said and done. They finished the season with a 12-1 record and defeated the Honey Badgers in the league championship. They looked to be a fairly strong team at the start of the season as the two core members of the team (Kyle Hetrick and team captain Greg Sowards) were returning. Sowards brought on Mike Saxton (his stepson who played for the Turtles last year) into the roster since he was grandfathered into the league as a founding member. Brandon Woolum joined the roster as well at the start of the season and has proven himself to be a capable fielder and a great hitter. The latest addition to the team is Chris Ramsey who the team picked up as a free agent after he parted ways with the Welfare Warriors. Presently the 5-man team is making a good run for 3rd place and have shown a lot of improvement and promise along the way. But if you're thinking they are hellbent on making another bid for the championship you might be surprised to know that Sowards has been heard saying "My main goal this year is fun."
